How we check listings

Where the details come from

• Every shop's name, address, brands and opening hours come from the shop's own website or social pages, from the brand's own store finder for branches of a chain, or from the shop itself. We don't copy other directories or map services.
• We check listings online against those details, and with the shop when it gets in touch. We don't visit shops in person.
• We only list a brand when the shop names it as a brand it stocks. We can't confirm what's in stock on a given day, prices, quality, or that branded goods are genuine, so call before travelling for something specific.
• Each listing shows the date it was last checked. We recheck a listing as soon as someone reports a problem, and we aim to recheck every listing at least once a year.

Who we list

We list shops by what they sell and the customers they serve, for example Pakistani clothing, bridal, jewellery and perfume shops. We never decide by the owner's ethnicity, religion or any other personal characteristic. We don't list shops we can't verify, shops that have closed, or shops we have good reason to think sell counterfeit or illegal goods.

Order, payments and reviews

• Lists of shops are in alphabetical order. On the home page, "Shops to explore" shows the listings with the most details first.
• Listings are free. No shop pays to appear or for its position, and we don't earn commission from shops or links.
• If we ever offer paid or featured listings, they'll be clearly labelled as paid, and we'll update this page and our terms of use.
• We don't show reviews or star ratings. If we add reviews in future, we'll only publish genuine reviews from real customers and explain here how we check them.
